The scriptures tell of the wonders of heaven and the great joys, the river of life, the tree of life, and other blessing for the redeemed. The following are just a few of the scriptures which provide reason to do anything necessary to be one of those privileged to enter.

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit of Godhood Are There!

  • The Father – “And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.” (Revelation 7:14-15)
  • The Son – “And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.” (Revelation 22:3-4)
  • The Holy Spirit – “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

The Angels Are There!

  • “Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,” (Revelation 5:11)

The Saved Are There!

  • It is the hope of the faithful – “because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,” (Colossians 1:5)
  • It is a special prepared place for Christ’s followers – “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. But if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you! And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” (John 14:2-3)

My Inheritance Is There!

  • It is a great reward – “Rejoice and leap for joy, for your reward is great in Heaven; for in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:12)
  • It is the treasure of the faithful – “But treasure up for you treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust cause to perish, and where thieves do not dig through and steal.” (Matthew 6:20)
  • It is safeguarded in heaven – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He according to His great mercy having regenerated us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been kept in Heaven for you the ones in the power of God being guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)

 Nothing There To Defile!

  • “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
  • “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” (Revelation 21:27)

I’ll Have A New Home! (as Jesus promised in John 14:2-3)

  • Abraham desired it! – “By faith Abraham… went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Hebrews 11:8-10)
  • A home beyond man’s ability! – “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent (body), is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” (2 Corinthians 5:1)

 I’ll Have A New Body That Fits The New Home!

  • “There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another … So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” (1 Corinthians 15:40-45)

There Is No Night There!

  • “There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.” (Revelation 22:5)

No Parting, Sorrow Or Pain There!

  • “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

The Alternative Is Horrifying!

  • “And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched 46 where: ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.‘” (Mark 9:45-46)
